We believe God is catalyzing Christian leaders from around the globe to take the issues affecting their cities seriously by praying, collaborating, evangelizing and investing resources–together. The 100 Cities Summit, facilitated by MOVEMENT.ORG, is catalyzing leadership teams to impact the spiritual and social climate of their cities through learning communities, the sharing of best practices and the advancement of high-level, city-changing collaborative partnerships. 100 Cities Summit will be a world-historic, 3-day gathering of urban leaders, from around the globe, seeking to collaboratively take on issues we all face in our cities, from multiplying churches to working in the margins. Check this page each day Tuesday – Thursday (November 27-29) to see Tracy’s daily reports.
November 25, 2018 – We have arrived!
Debra and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with our entire family gathered in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We arrived this evening in Washington D.C. for the 100 Cities Summit to be held at the Museum of the Bible. Deb will tour the MotB tomorrow at 11a while Tracy attends a meeting of the U.S. Executive City Directors (of which Tracy is one). Please be praying for good health, and that we would be attentive to the unique agenda the Spirit of God has for us during the Summit.
November 26, 2018 – Day 1 in D.C.
Today was a great day of learning and making new friends. It’s exciting to hear about all the movements of unity that are taking place around the world. Movement.org treated the Executive City Directors to a lovely dinner at a local D.C. Steak House … mmmmmm. Debra and I wrapped up the evening by walking by the Capital building back to our hotel. Cold but fun. Tomorrow the main part of the conference begins. 400 leaders involved in unity movements representing 100 strategic cities will convene for three days. We can’t wait to see what God has in store.
